Saturday 18th of September is World Clean-up Day, a chance for everyone across the globe to give their local natural environment some much needed TLC. As part of this Love Your Chelmsford are planning their most ambitious clean up yet and we would like your school to be a part of this!
We’re inviting schools across the borough alongside families, community groups, local businesses and anyone else that lives or works in Chelmsford to take part in a variety of activities across the city including litter picking, tree planting and much, much more!
Alongside this Love Your Chelmsford will be carrying out a number of activities on the day to improve the borough including; deep cleaning the high street, removing graffiti, installing more recycle on the go bins, mature tree planting and plenty more.
The main day we will be running this is Saturday 18th September however we are inviting schools to get involved in the weekdays building up to the big day primarily through litter picking in their local area. We will happily loan all the equipment you will need and will sort the collection of the litter following the pick.
To let us know if you’d like to get involved or if you would like more information, please email lyc@chelmsford.gov.uk
