Spellings will be focused on within school so home learning tasks will be more likely to include a punctuation and/or grammar focus.
Children can write some sentences using homophones (words that have the same pronunciation but different meanings) eg: hear, here, to, two and too. As a challenge, they may want to create a silly homophone story!
Maths – We will be assessing counting in 2s, 5s and 10s, looking at these times tables and related division facts eg: 5 x 10 = 50 so 50 ÷ 10 = 5. This is an expectation at the end of Key Stage One. Any practice to help with fluency and confidence will be appreciated.
Your child’s new home learning passport is also available to start if you have time!
